3 injured as TIPRA supporters ‘attack, vandalise’ BJP office

Agartala: At least three BJP supporters were injured on Saturday after an alleged attack by TIPRA Motha supporters on a BJP office at Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (ADC) headquarters in Khumulung, amid ongoing seat-sharing talks for next month’s village council elections.
Police said the office was vandalised and as many as 12 motorcycles and two cars were damaged. A case has been registered, but no arrests have been made.
Senior BJP netas and top police officials visited the spot and said those responsible would be caught and punished.
