Haldia: In a tragic attempt to save each other from a live wire, three members of a family, including a 12-year-old boy, were electrocuted on Saturday evening at Kumarpur village in Haldia.
The incident took place around 7 pm when Siraj Ali Mollik tried to handle a wire in his house. When Siraj was shocked, his wife Aleya and son Anas Alam tried to save him and met the same fate. The three were shifted to Haldia subdivisional hospital, where they were declared dead.
