Students should also evolve as social engineers: Cal HC CJ

T S Sivagnanam, Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court today stressed on the need for the students to be flexible enough to broaden their career from the confines of the courtroom to evolve as “social engineers”.
The CJ of Calcutta HC rated highly the performance of the National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS) in moulding the students into high-class law professionals in the country.
Justice Sivagnanam, in his address as the chief guest on the occasion of ‘Silver Jubilee Celebration Release of Special Cover Cancellation With My Stamp’ of NUJS said that the institution has evolved into such a high-performance centre that its performance, which is graded A+ by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council), should have been far better.
State law minister Moloy Ghatak in his address said that the NUJS, which has evolved into a centre of excellence for the law graduates in the country, the financial grants approved by the state for its upgradation and development is remarkable as it shelled out over Rs 18 lakh for the 2024-25 financial year.
