Kolkata: The low-pressure area over Gangetic Bengal has weakened, the Met office said. Thus, city remained cloudy with intermittent drizzles on Sunday. The cloud cover kept the maximum temperature four degrees below normal at 28.2°C. The minimum temperature was 26°C. The low-pressure had led to moderate rain on Friday and Saturday. But the frequency of the drizzles reduced on Sunday. "Kolkata will get occasional showers. The monsoon trough now passes through south Bengal, which will keep the region wet," said Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) weather scientist Sourish Bandopadhyay. | Gold Rates Today in Kolkata | Silver Rates Today in KolkataIt could remain generally cloudy with one or two spells of light to moderate rain or thundershower in south Bengal on Monday, he said.
