Kolkata: A widow from Sonarpur has lodged a police complaint against Rajpur-Sonarpur Municipality's ward 11 councillor Krishnapada Mondal, accusing him of demanding money and making sexual advances.
The complainant said ever since she started a sari shop, there has been harassment by miscreants. She claimed the councillor refused to help her and instead demanded Rs 50,000 and made indecent proposals. Cops said a case of molestation has been registered and a probe is underway. Mondal denied the claims, saying: "I am being falsely implicated for political reasons.
