A model has filed a police complaint alleging that two men raped her after they allegedly lured her with promises of film roles, police said on Tuesday.

According to the police, the woman approached a police station on Monday night and filed an FIR, reporting that the incidents began in August 2023 and continued at different locations.

“Last night, August 18, a woman came to the police station and informed us that she was sexually exploited by two persons related to the film industry in August 2023 and later at different places,” a police official said.

Based on her complaint the police registered an FIR against the two accused.The case has been filed under section 64/351 (2) (Criminal Intimidation) , Rape, 61 (2) (BNSS) Criminal Conspiracy, police said.

The police said that according to the complaint, the accused allegedly befriended the model on social media in 2023 and posed as film producers with connections in Tollywood and Bollywood. They used the promise of work to lure her and later sexually assaulted her, she told police.
