  • Kolkata: Bengal govt on Sunday arranged for the state's deceased victims of the Delhi wall collapse to be flown back home to their families.

Seven lives were lost in the collapse in Delhi's Jaitpur on Saturday, and police arrested a 49-year-old tenant for illegally housing the victims on unsafe premises. The building's landlord is on the run. TMC's Rajya Sabha MP Samirul Islam said: "State govt and migrant workers' welfare board have been supporting the families of the workers who died in the wall collapse.

""After the post-mortem was completed on Sunday, arrangements were made to send the bodies by plane. Once they arrive at Kolkata airport, they will be directly transported to their village homes. The Bengal govt also arranged for four family members to return by plane," he added.
