Umbrella dance performances, rakhi-making, rangoli drawing, quiz competitions, drills and creative activities are among the many activities being carried out across the Asansol division of the Eastern Railway during the ongoing nationwide ‘Har Ghar Tiranga 2025’ campaign from 2 to 15 August.
Various cultural, educational and patriotic activities are being conducted at railway colonies, stations, schools, and offices to evoke a spirit of nationalism among railway employees, their families, and the larger community.
The central government launched the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign in 2022 under the aegis of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ with the aim to encourage citizens to hoist the National Flag at their homes and build a personal and emotional connection with the Tiranga. Over the years, this initiative has evolved into a mass movement, reflecting the collective spirit of patriotism, unity, and national pride.
As part of this ongoing tradition, Asansol division of Eastern Railway joined the nationwide celebrations with great fervour, organising the first phase of the campaign from 2nd to 8th August 2025. The second phase from 9th to 12th August will witness Tiranga Bike and Cycle Rallies across the division. Tiranga-themed lighting and decoration of stations and office buildings will further enhance the patriotic ambience.
The celebrations will culminate with the Third Phase from 13-15 August, which will include flag hoisting ceremonies and a nationwide digital engagement initiative encouraging citizens to upload their photographs with the National Flag on www.harghartiranga.com as part of the #SelfieWithTiranga campaign.
