• Employees steal gold worth 1.6cr

  • Kolkata: The co-owner of a jewellery firm, Nimesh Kumar Sugandh, filed a complaint at the Girish Park Police Station against two of his employees for stealing gold ornaments worth Rs 1.6 crore through systematic manipulation of computer records. The accused — Mukesh Sikhwal and Ravi Singh — reportedly botched the records to misappropriate approximately 1.6 kg of gold ornaments. The alleged fraud came to light when discrepancies were discovered between manual records and computer entries at the firm's workshops located on Vivekananda Road. tnn
