Kolkata: An Odisha Police constable — Subrata Kumar Sahu (32) — was found hanging in a rented apartment in Hindustan Park near Gariahat crossing on Tuesday night. Sahu, a resident of Keonjhar, was serving with the Indian Reserve Battalion of Odisha and was in Kolkata for special training. "We have learnt he had debts and other personal issues. He skipped training on Tuesday, and his colleagues found his body when they checked his room," an officer said. Cops are awaiting the autopsy report to confirm the cause of death. Kolkata Police has launched a probe. Odisha Police has denied any work-related pressure. — Dwaipayan Ghosh
