Tiger enters Kultali’s Deulbari, 3rd time in 20 days

Kultali: For the third time in 20 days, a tiger has entered Kultali's Deulbari area, causing panic among residents after pugmarks were spotted in the area on Saturday morning.The forest department was informed after which two ADFOs and 40 members of the quick response team, and several forest workers arrived at the scene. The area was surrounded with steel nets and placed under surveillance. Foresters are using loudspeakers to advise residents to avoid the riverbank where most of the pugmarks were seen. Additional lighting is also being arranged. Two cages have been kept ready.Locals claimed to have heard the tiger roar after noon. Forest officials believe the big cat might have come from the Ajmalmari forest area, crossing the Makri or Naipukuria rivers.
