Actor Judhajit Sarkar’s missing diamond ring, wallet recovered in 4 hours

Kolkata: A diamond ring and wallet belonging to actor Judhajit Sarkar were recovered within four hours of those being reported missing from an online cab.After Bidhannagar City Police successfully recovered the items, Sarkar, known for portraying villainous roles on screen, took to social media to express his gratitude to police for their swift action and effective investigation.The incident occurred on May 20 when Sarkar was returning home along with three co-artists from a shoot in Batanagar. The items were discovered missing after the journey, during which the passengers fell asleep due to exhaustion, was completed."I immediately called the cab driver, but he denied any knowledge of the wallet," Sarkar said. "His suspicious behaviour prompted me to file a general diary at Lake Town police station."Sub-inspector Priyanka Ghosh, who led the investigation, quickly traced the items. "I never imagined I would get my wallet or diamond ring back. But SI Ghosh called within just four hours to inform me that everything was recovered!" Sarkar said."The efficiency demonstrated by Bidhannagar City Police in this case is commendable," said a senior police official who oversees the jurisdiction. "This reflects our commitment to serving citizens, regardless of their status or profession."
