123 Kolkata: After KMC, the New Town Kolkata Development Authority (NKDA) has also decided to conduct a special clean-up drive in New Town for seven days fromWednesday.Residents of New Town can now send a photo of any littered place to the WhatsApp number, 9674728000, and mention the exact spot. On receiving the message, NKDA will send a team to clean up the spot."It will be ensured that the place is cleaned within six hours," said an official. NKDA officials said that cleaning drives are conducted at regular intervals on the sides of canals and other places to prevent mosquito breeding.In the adjacent Bidhannagar area of Salt Lake and Rajarhat Gopalpur, BMC has also asked residents to message on 6292 234 126 to contact them and inform them in case there is any health or cleaning-related issue. BMC is also providing free consultations, medicine and dengue tests at the urban primary health centres.
